A new grocery-focused Walmart opened in Anaheim last week, only the second of its kind in Orange County. The Neighborhood Market Walmart, located on Anaheim Boulevard near Ball Road, is part of Walmart’s attempt at widening its market to different customers. The concept differs from traditional Walmarts in the generally smaller size of the stores and wider availability of produce and dry goods. The 28,000-square-foot building replaces a Hahm Motorsports building and offers a wide variety of options for consumers including gluten-free and organic products as well as a pharmacy and beauty and health supplies. The store will also include more Hispanic foods to target the local community.
